Why UPI?

Higher Standards

A typical marketing approach in virtually any industry, is to claim to be "different than the competition" in some form or fashion. Often times, we are asked what makes UPI different than the next. Without the "smoke and mirrors," our answer... the level of training and requirements we have established for our employees and staff. The level of service we provide is a direct reflection of this approach.

While so many firms strive to achieve and maintain minimum state standards, UPI surpasses these same standards at every level. In fact, UPI Advanced Level Security Officers have over 3X the training required by the State of Texas.

Many claim to be different... we prove it on paper for our Clients, as well as our competition. A bold move? We think it's a smart one.

Experience

In the state of Texas, the Private Security Bureau only requires 2 years experience in "security" and the ability to pass a Manager exam in order for individuals to be eligible to start a Private Security Firm. In other words, a Private Security Officer with 2-years experience sitting on a post at a construction site, on a night shift, with no contact with the outside public, can take a Manager exam, apply for licensing with the Private Security Bureau, and start a Security Firm.

The ability to effectively operate a business and provide a legitimate Security or Investigative Service requires applicable training and experience. The Founder of UPI has over 18+ years of applicable training and experience in Law Enforcement, Corrections, Defensive Tactics, and Military. UPI is also backed by a council of members with over 60+ years of combined experience in the same.

Knowledge is power, and experience takes time. UPI offers Clients the ability to assess their needs, address their concerns, and develop strategies that are tried and true.

Client Relations

At UPI, our goal is to become a TEAM with the Clients we serve. Not only do we strive to provide an unparalleled level of service, but we seek to compliment the organization and properties we serve.

Prior to the start of services, a UPI representative will meet with you or your representative, address your concerns, and offer professional advice and suggestions on services and strategies that work. We offer a FREE Security analysis and report for properties desiring uniformed Security Services, as well. We take the time to walk your property, analyze the layout of the area, document the strengths, and address the vulnerabilities. A site inspection form is completed by a trained and licensed representative and forwarded to a State Licensed Private Investigator who will analyze the data and generate a report. This report will contain a "risk assessment" rating, a liability listing, and professional advice on ways to improve the overall safety and security of your property.

Upon the start of services, we take the time to educate our Clients, as well. Whether the account is for Investigations or Security, we desire to inform our Clients as to what we offer, how we handle services rendered, and what can be expected with UPI as their service provider. We offer a professional and flexible approach to service.

Employee Relations

Our Philosophy may be a little bit different, than most. We believe the profession is much more than a "business," but a responsibility. We have a responsibility, not only to the Clients we serve, but to the staff we employ. We believe that the level of service we provide is directly affected by the training and motivation of our staff.

UPI has become recognized for having some of the highest training and staff requirement in the industry. We believe we have a responsibility to provide opportunity for trained professionals, who desire to become a "cut above" the competition. We provide unparalleled training programs to our staff in every division, and establish requirements that exceed those of the state, at virtually every level. We cultivate loyalty through pay rates that are higher than industry averages. We develop a level of trust, through constant interaction between the management and staff. We boost morale through monetary bonuses and Staff recognition programs.

Reputation

A wise man once said, "it takes a lifetime to build a reputation, but a second to loose it." We strive for more than an "account," but for a relationships with our Clients. Our goal, from the start, is to gain the confidence and trust of those we serve. Every Client receives the same level of attention and support, without exception.

Our desire is to "raise the bar" in the Security and Investigative profession. Our approach is to exceed the "norm" and leave a legacy. This is who we are. This is what we do. And, our references reflect the same.
